Epileptic Disorder Rivotril is indicated for the treatment of epileptic seizures and infantile spasms (West Syndrome).
Rivotril is also indicated for:
Anxiety Disorders
- As anxiolytic in general.
- Panic disorder with or without fear of open spaces.
- Social phobia (fear of situations such as public speaking).
Mood Disorders
- Bipolar affective disorder (phases of depression and mania): treatment of mania.
- Major depression: associated with antidepressants in anxiety depression and initiation of treatment.
Psychotic syndromes
- Akathisia (extreme restlessness, usually caused by psychiatric medications).
Restless legs syndrome (discomfort or pain in the legs that leads to the need to move them, impairing sleep).
Vertigo and balance disorders: nausea, vomiting, fainting, falls, tinnitus and hearing disorders. Burning mouth syndrome (burning sensation inside the mouth, no physical changes).
